Elementor Website Building Guide

Making Your Website Live

By now, you’ve already set up your domain, hosting, and WordPress in the early steps. You’ve also built your pages, styled your content, and optimised your site. The final step is ensuring everything works perfectly before you officially launch.

Step 1: Enable SSL (HTTPS)

  • Ensure your site is secure with an SSL certificate.
  • In most cases, VentraIP provides free SSL via Let’s Encrypt.
  • Check your site URL → it should start with https://.
  • If needed, use the plugin Really Simple SSL to force HTTPS everywhere.

Step 2: Final Testing Checklist

Before announcing your site, go through this list carefully:

✅ Content & Layout

  • All pages display correctly (Home, About, Services, Contact, Blog).
  • No placeholder text (“Lorem ipsum”) left on the site.
  • All images load properly and look sharp.

✅ Forms & Buttons

  • Contact forms submit correctly → send a test message.
  • Buttons link to the right pages.

✅ Navigation

  • Menu links work and go to the right pages.
  • Footer details (address, email, phone, copyright) are correct.

✅ Mobile Responsiveness

  • Switch to mobile view in Elementor → check all pages.
  • Test on a real phone to confirm text and buttons are easy to use.

✅ Performance

  • Run a speed test (Google PageSpeed Insights / GTmetrix).
  • Check LiteSpeed Cache plugin is enabled and optimising properly.

✅ SEO Readiness

  • Yoast SEO installed and set up.
  • Google Search Console connected.
  • Sitemap submitted (/sitemap_index.xml).

Step 3: Announce Your Launch

Once testing is complete:

  • Share your site link on social media.
  • Update your Google Business Profile with the new website.
  • Send an email to your customers or clients.
  • Consider running a small ad campaign to drive initial traffic.

  • Announce and promote your launch.
