Installing WordPress (Via Installatron)
Now that you’ve got your domain and hosting set up, it’s time to install WordPress. Don’t worry — you don’t need to download any files or set up databases manually. VentraIP uses a tool called Installatron, which makes installing WordPress as easy as filling out a form.
Step 1: Log in to Your Hosting Control Panel
- Go to the VentraIP VIPControl portal and log in with your hosting account details.
- From your services, click into your Web Hosting plan.
Open cPanel (this is your hosting control panel where all the tools live).
Step 2: Find Installatron
Once you’re in cPanel:
- Scroll down until you see the Software section.
- Look for Installatron Applications Installer and click it.
This is where you can install apps like WordPress, Joomla, Drupal — but we’ll stick with WordPress.
Step 3: Start the WordPress Installation
- In Installatron, find WordPress and click Install this application.
- You’ll be taken to a form where you can set up your site details.
Step 4: Configure Your WordPress Settings
Here’s what to fill out:
- Domain: Choose the domain you registered earlier (e.g., yourbusiness.com.au).
- Directory: Leave this blank if you want WordPress at your main domain (recommended).
- Admin Username & Password: Choose something secure — this will be how you log into your WordPress dashboard.
- Admin Email: Use a valid email address (you’ll get password resets and notifications here).
- Website Title: Enter your business name (you can change this later).
Leave the other options as default unless you know you want something specific.
