Plugins are not always perfect. You have installed a new plugin and breaks your WordPress site. The question is, how to fix this.
- First thing to try is to disable the plugin within the admin. If you are unsure how to do this, visit our guide.
- First, login to your hosting via your FTP client. We recommend Filezilla.
- Navigate to your WordPress plugin folder: /wp-contents/plugins/ and rename the plugin folder of the plugin that you recently installed. Just add -bk to the end of the name. Once this is done, the plugin will automatically deactivate itself. Try and test your website, in most cases, it should be working again.
